ELM HALL DRIVE METHODIST CHURCH
CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
Children and young people are always welcome here at EHD.
We currently have a small number of very young children. A creche facility is sometimes available during the service, otherwise we have a children's corner in the church for them to use.
We have a few slightly older children who attend services from time to time and we try to provide teaching and activities for them. We also have occasional all-age worship services. Our Light Factory group hasn't been running regularly in recent times but we would love to welcome more children on a regular basis and re-instate it!
Toast is a monthly group for families, many of whom currently have teenagers. They tend to meet off-site for creative worship and fellowship. For more information, see the Toast page.

Outreach
We look for opportunities to reach out to families and schools and to share something of our faith with them.
Our family craft events are very popular, often with 50+ accompanied children attending. We provide crafts and games based on Bible themes and characters, and at Christmas and Easter, we finish with a very short service in the sanctuary. For more details, see our family crafts page.
Members of our congregation support the circuit children's worker to deliver "Experience Christmas" and "Experience Easter" to classes from our local primary school. The children are introduced to key aspects of the Bible stories, in an interactive, creative manner. These sessions have been very well-received and have become a fixture in EHD's calendar.
We take it in turns with the other churches in our circuit to host "Monday Mix-up". Led by Mike and Marrissa, the children's and youth workers respectively, it gives people of all ages the opportunity to mix with each other and have fun! There are games, Bible stories, prayers and activities, before sharing some food together.

Monday Mix-Up
3Generate
"3Generate" is the Methodist Church in Britain's annual youth assembly that takes place in Birmingham's NEC every October. A group of children and young people usually attend from our circuit and have an amazing experience.
