ELM HALL DRIVE METHODIST CHURCH
SUNDAY WORSHIP
Our Sunday morning services start at 10.30 a.m.
Services are led by our own minister, by one of the other ministers in the circuit or by a local preacher, with participation by members of the congregation for Bible readings and prayers. (See our Home page for upcoming services)
Our worship seeks to be focused on God and on how our faith is relevant in today's world. The preacher uses the day's set Bible readings as the basis of the service, helping the congregation to recognise God in Scripture and in the world around us. Worshipping together helps to knit us into a faith community, ready for action!
We use a variety of music, readings, prayers, video clips and images to engage the congregation and use large digital screens at the front rather than individual song books etc.

We offer Holy Communion monthly on the first Sunday of every month.
All are welcome at the Lord's table because God loves all.
Gluten-free, lactose-free bread is shared and the wine is non-alcholic.
We aim for worship to be relevant to all ages. Children are always welcome here at EHD and we encourage them to actively participate in the services.
We currently have a small number of very young children. A creche facility is sometimes available during the service, otherwise we have a children's corner in the church.
Occasionally, we hold all-age services.
Twice each quarter, we join together for worship with the congregation at Princes Park Methodist Church, either there or at EHD.

A couple of times a year and for special occasions, we join with the other churches in the circuit for shared worship. We usually gather in the chapel at Liverpool Hope University because there is space for a larger congregation. These services give us the opportunity to encourage and learn from each other, as well as offering uplifting worship.
Shared Worship
Cafe Church
From time to time, we hold café-style worship in the parlour instead of the usual morning service. This is more informal and includes discussion over a cup of coffee and a pastry.
Look out for updates on our Facebook and Instagram pages - if you're not sure about church, this would be a great way to start!

Every Sunday, a short service is held on the telephone for anyone in the circuit who cannot attend worship in person or online.
If you are interested, please for the dial-in instructions and you will be very welcome.
Dial up between 2:20pm and 2:30pm for informal chat, with the service starting at 2:30pm. Please say your name so people know you have joined!

Worship Songs
In worship, we use a mixture of traditional hymns and more modern songs. Here are a couple of playlists of newer songs!
