ELM HALL DRIVE METHODIST CHURCH

OUR HISTORY

4637181644

Elm Hall Drive Methodist Church was established near the outskirts of the city of Liverpool at the beginning of the twentieth century as an outreach from Trinity Grove Street Church to the expanding community. Building work began in late 1903 and the first service was held a year later.

As our congregation grew, a new worship area was opened in 1928 to serve the expanding community. Further modifications followed in the mid-1990s, introducing a more accessible entrance to welcome everyone into our building and rooms.

For generations, Elm Hall Drive has been a welcoming space for families and a proud base for Methodist chaplaincy to Liverpool's universities. Although no longer formally linked with the universities and colleges, students have long played a valued role in our community and are always welcome.

As part of the Liverpool South Methodist Circuit, we work closely with other churches across the south of Liverpool to support local mission, share in regular worship, and take an active role in our local neighbourhood groups together.

While our community has evolved over the decades, our core commitment remains unchanged: offering a warm, faithful space in the heart of Mossley Hill, for everyone who walks through our doors.
