ELM HALL DRIVE METHODIST CHURCH
BIBLE STUDY GROUP
Small groups, such as Bible study and house groups are integral to Methodism. John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement in the 18th Century, encouraged different kinds of small groups to develop so that both the leaders and members of the groups could receive support and challenge in their faith. These small groups are highly supportive and allow faith and our relationship with God to be questioned and nourished.
At EHD, our Bible Study group currently meets on the second and fourth Fridays of the month, between 2:30pm and 4:00pm and we are a group of about 10 people. You will find us in the Parlour if you would like to join us. All welcome.
What Happens?
We gather at 2:30pm in the Parlour and share news with each other for a short while.
Our minister, or a member of the group, then leads the Bible study session, often using videos or short course material to guide thinking and discussion on the Bible passage being studied. It gives us the opportunity to share our thoughts and feelings with each other.
We break half way through for a cup of tea or coffee!
